12 Jun Hewshott gets behind the international #Missingtype campaign
Hewshott is delighted to support the international #Missingtype campaign, which began in the UK in 2016. This year, 18 countries are taking part in the campaign, with hundreds of organisations around the world lending their support.
Over the last week or so, the letters A, B and O have mysteriously gone missing from our logo – and from the logo of many high-profile brands including Bank West, Pay Pal, Salesforce, the Cancer Council Australia, IBM, RACQ, Luna Park, and WA Health.
These three letters – A, B and O – make up the blood groups, which are in danger of going missing, due to low levels of blood donation. The Red Cross Blood Service campaign is an inventive initiative to raise awareness of the problem, encourage people to give blood and highlight the need for new donors. Globally, a blood product is needed every 3 seconds to help save or improve the lives of patients.
Hewshott believes this is an incredibly important cause; giving blood takes only an hour of your time, but could mean a lifetime to someone else.
