Hewshott UK Moves Office!

Independent technology consultancy Hewshott has announced the relocation of its UK operations to a new office at Earls Colne Business Park in Essex, effective 28th April 2025. The move supports the firm’s continued growth while reflecting its commitment to modern, flexible, and people-centric working environments.

The new office space has been carefully selected and configured to support the way that the Hewshott team now works, prioritising collaboration, focus, wellbeing, and choice. With an emphasis on natural light, acoustic comfort, and varied work settings, the office caters to both individual and team-based tasks, offering a mix of formal meeting rooms, informal breakout areas, and dedicated quiet zones.

Set within landscaped grounds and surrounded by green open space, Earls Colne Business Park offers a tranquil, low-density working environment that aligns perfectly with Hewshott’s values around wellbeing and work-life balance. On-site amenities include a café, gym, golf course, driving range, and spa — all of which enhance the day-to-day experience for staff choosing to work from the office. The park’s easy access to both rural and regional transport links supports Hewshott’s commitment to flexibility and accessibility for its team.

‘We’re not just moving into a new building, we’re reinforcing our long-term belief in creating an environment where people can do their best work,’ said Daniel Lee, managing director of Hewshott UK. ‘This space is all about flexibility, focus and balance. Our teams are highly mobile and work across a wide range of projects, so the space had to be somewhere people want to be, not somewhere they have to be. We have also recently removed any requirement for office attendance on a regular basis or fixed day, allowing the team to truly determine the location that best suits their planned tasks for the day’.

These flexible working arrangements further the company’s commitment to sustainability, both environmentally and socially, reducing emissions and energy consumption while increasing employee well-being and improving our teams work-life balance. The opportunity has been taken to implement electric vehicle charging along with other initiatives such as improved waste recycling processes, and innovative solid soap dispensers. ‘Changes such as the switch to solid soap dispensers may be seen as minor’ continues Dan, ‘but we are really looking hard at our business and how we operate as a team and looking to make changes wherever possible. Liquid soap dispensers generate almost two billion plastic bottles every year in the UK!’.

Hewshott operates a flexible working policy including unlimited leave, fully remote-enabled workflows, and puts a strong emphasis on outcomes over hours. The new office is designed to complement that by providing a high-quality physical hub that supports intentional, in-person work, whether for deep project collaboration, team alignment, or knowledge sharing.

The office move also marks a continued investment in the firm’s UK footprint. From its new base in Essex, Hewshott will continue delivering high-value professional services across AV, IT, acoustics, theatre consultancy, and smart building integration.

Hewshott is an ISO:9001 certified, multi-disciplinary consultancy practice operating in the fields of acoustics, technology and theatre.
