About This Project
Adrianse Group appointed Hewshott in 2015 as the AV consultants for the council chambers AV design on behalf of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The general approach was to design a system compatible with the required usage of the council chamber rooms which can vary dependent on specific events.
The space will be treated as a bespoke area and whilst some of the systems in this space will follow a theme, it would be unreasonable to expect this space to operate the same way as a standard meeting room. Within the room there would be a number of displays intended to ensure all participants are able to clearly and easily follow proceedings without the need to adjust their seating positions. These displays will be utilised to display content from up to five desk positions in the chamber, live TV sources or other stored media content with the main display being a large rear projector supported by an LED. Ceiling mounted speakers to ensure coverage throughout the chamber with these speakers will be connected to a DSP to ensure local sound re-enforcement alongside the use of desk mounted microphones and 3rd party devices. The system currently supports 35 Goose Neck, 4 hand-held and 1 neck microphones, all wireless.
All control was via touch panels found in both the chambers and control area and the system is designed to function with minimal technical support whilst still providing a high level of functionality.
