Grace Peterson Hall

The United States Government issued a Statement of Objectives seeking Architect–Engineering services for a design-build renovation of Grace Peterson Hall at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Design-builder Sheela, Inc. was awarded the project and assembled a multidisciplinary design team that included RYEBREAD Architects, DaVinci Group, and Hewshott serving as the theatre consultant. Working collaboratively, the team developed a comprehensive renovation strategy to modernize the facility while meeting the specialized operational needs of the military. The project included extensive upgrades throughout the space, including new architectural finishes, replacement of seating, new architectural and theatrical lighting systems, upgraded lighting controls, acoustical improvements, a completely new sound system, enhancements to the video system, and new technical furniture. The result is a modernized multipurpose hall designed to support presentations, training, and secure communications while maintaining flexibility for a variety of uses
