22 Apr Residential acoustics in Perth, Australia
Hewshott is delighted to have provided accurate and relevant acoustic advice for properties such as this one in Mount Hawthorn.
A Building Permit was successfully obtained thanks to our input. Acoustic criteria for residential developments in the Perth metropolitan area can differ from one council to another. Our understanding of this is critical to obtaining the permissions necessary for developers to commence work. For this project, which was overseen by the City of Vincent, we worked through every step of the planning process from Development Application to Building Permit, successfully supporting the developer. There are increasing numbers of elements to consider as housing density increases and noise from air conditioners, for example, is just one element that is frequently overlooked.
We have a vast amount of experience in finding cost effective solutions to contain noise ingress from rail, roads (SPP 5.4) and air traffic (SPP 5.1).
