Working closely with the Owner and design team, Hewshott developed the technical scope and design for the theatrical systems, including the sound system, theatrical rigging and curtains, architectural lighting and controls, theatrical lighting system, video system, control booth, and upgrades to the room acoustics.

The design focused on bringing contemporary performance technology into the space while maintaining the character and functionality of the historic auditorium. In addition to system design, Hewshott supported the bidding and construction administration phases of the project, including construction progress reviews and rigging inspection services.

The project was completed on schedule and within budget, and the renovated theatre has quickly become an active hub for the school’s theatre department and community events, providing Palmyra students and residents with a modern venue for performances and gatherings.
