From the earliest planning stages, Hewshott collaborated closely with the architect to shape the layout and functionality of each space. This included detailed room design, acoustic modelling of critical areas, and analysis of reverberation, noise control, and sound isolation. These efforts ensured that each environment—from quiet instructional spaces to high‑energy production rooms—supported its intended purpose and delivered an optimal user experience.

Hewshott designed and documented all technology systems throughout the SWIC, creating a cohesive and future‑ready technical ecosystem. This included broadcast and production systems for the TV studio, general‑purpose AV for the open area, SWIC‑wide control and network infrastructure, an isolated ground power system, and fully integrated Esports gaming stations with dynamic lighting. Technology across the center was planned to be intuitive, robust, and adaptable to evolving instructional needs.

The TV studio and master control room were developed to function as professional‑grade teaching and production environments, featuring performance lighting, pipe grids, curtain systems, cameras, switching, recording, and streaming capabilities. Hewshott also provided performance specifications for a custom studio set to be built by the school. The completed SWIC now brings together wellness, creativity, and hands‑on learning in a single, cohesive facility—empowering students with modern tools and environments that will support them for years to come.
