Following on from the aftermath of the pandemic, the project wasn’t without its challenges, with technology requirements and hardware shortages being two areas of particular concern, alongside a challenging timeframe due to summer shutdowns, whilst ensuring to provide a collaborative and multi-functional hybrid space.

Our solution to the primary challenge, was to work on the true requirements of the space and explore alternative solutions for this. The system chosen is primarily self-managed, however, to maintain a level of technician-controlled capabilities, a panel is set up within the control room, providing a level of management of audio level adjustment and source changes. The solution provided AVoIP functionality so content could be freely distributed around the different displays in the space.

The transformation of this space speaks for itself, with this space being discussed at many other higher education facilities as a leader in the industry. Modern teaching methods are becoming more prevalent in higher education, allowing for more innovative and collaborative spaces.
